Everytime I have tried to install the component, I keep getting this message:

* JInstaller::install: The language file 'nl-NL.com_jdtestimonials.ini' could not be installed because the Administrator language package for 'nl-NL' has not been installed or does not exist.
* JInstaller::install: The language file 'de-DE.com_jdtestimonials.ini' could not be installed because the Administrator language package for 'de-DE' has not been installed or does:( not exist.
* JInstaller::install: The language file 'de-DE.com_jdtestimonials.ini' could not be installed because the Administrator language package for 'de-DE' has not been installed or does not exist.
* JInstaller::install: The language file 'de-DE.com_jdtestimonials.menu.ini' could not be installed because the Administrator language package for 'de-DE' has not been installed or does not exist.

Yet is says the component has installed successfully.

I then go to the component menu, choose settings, and the menu items which are meant to be at the top, are not there.

Please can someone help. I really need this on my site.

i think you must have a permission issue on your server....

No, its not a permissions thing. It works, but the buttons don't come up to use and the error message appears all the time.

These messages indicate you are not using the latest Joomla version. In the latest Joomla version these messages won't appear as they are only there to inform you what languages are not being installed.

Not sure what you mean here, but you need to go to Components -> JD Testimonials.

Would help if you post a screenshot.
