Unknown problem 8 Months, 1 Week ago
I have what I think is the latest JDTest. running on Joomla 1.5.15 with Virtuemart 1.1.4. Everything was working fine but now I am not getting any testimonials for some reason. One customer contacted my via e-mail with this comment:

I tried to post feed back on the blanks you sent but I had several problems. First when I logged in it immediately said that my session had expired. I logged in again and went to the Customer Comment page and at the bottom it said, No order ID has been found. But in my account it showed my order. So the feedback and order database are not in sync. I tried to connect by hitting the email link and I had to log in again. When I tried to log in, I got an Invalid Token error. So your web developer has some work to do

I am my own web developer and have no idea where to go from here! Any help would be appreciated. The app was working fine for a long time but seemed to screw up when I updated either Joomla or VM.

I can provide admin privileges to anyone that can possibly help. Thanks!

Hello,

First when I logged in it immediately said that my session had expired. This is a Joomla precaution. Sessions will expire after x time of inactivity. The user probably never logged out.

I logged in again and went to the Customer Comment page and at the bottom it said, No order ID has been found. User has to click the e-mail link after they have logged in. Clicking the link the first time, then logging into Joomla, the old link gets lost as Joomla doesn't redirect back to where the user wanted to go.

Roland,

Is there a way to make this a litle easier for my customers. Habing to go to my site and login, then go back to e-mail and click the link is a little cumbersome. I have turned off "order id required". Will this make things easier? I can always delete any unrelated testimonials. Either that or is there a way to either automatically log folks out of Joomla when the leave or keept hem logged in forever until they log themselves out?

Thanks for any additional help you can provide!

I have turned off "order id required". Will this make things easier?I have checked and checked it but turning off the order ID only allows people to write testimonials without having actually placed an order. They still need to be logged in before writing a testimonial. The only other way is to allow anybody to write testimonials but this could be an invitation to spam testimonials.

Either that or is there a way to either automatically log folks out of Joomla when the leave or keept hem logged in forever until they log themselves out?Joomla works with sessions and they expire automatically after x time. I am not sure about the time. Once it is expired they will need to login again.
